The R06 is our smallest cab-less excavator, engineered to slip through a standard side gate and still deliver a full day's dig. Retractable tracks close down to a walk-behind footprint, then expand for stability once you're on site — no dismantling, no ramps, no fuss.
It's the machine landscapers, garden designers and drain specialists reach for when the alternative is barrows and shovels. Low tail-swing, folding dozer blade and pilot-lever controls keep it precise in confined back gardens, courtyards and terraced-house rear plots.
Ashmoors specifies, inspects and prepares this machine for the UK market, supplies it and remains responsible for its UK warranty, parts, servicing and technical support. It is manufactured by RIPPA under its original model code.

What engine is fitted to the R06?+
The Ashmoors R06 Micro Excavator is fitted with a Kubota Z482 diesel, 8.2 kW, as published in the manufacturer's specification. The full specification table on this page lists every confirmed figure for the machine.
What does the R06 weigh, and can it be towed in the UK?+
The R06 is quoted at 739 kg. Add the tare weight of your plant trailer, typically 700-800 kg for a braked 3.5-tonne trailer, to get the towed weight, then check that total against your trailer plate, your towing vehicle's limits and your licence entitlement before travelling. Machines above roughly 8 tonnes are delivered by low-loader instead.
How deep does the R06 dig?+
Maximum digging depth for the R06 is 1,001 mm. If your job has a fixed depth requirement — drainage runs, foundations or service trenches — tell us the depth and we will confirm whether this machine reaches it or point you to the next class up.
Will the R06 fit through tight access?+
Transport width for the R06 is 747 mm (retractable undercarriage). Measure the narrowest point on the route in — gates, alleyways, doorways — and allow clearance for the operator. We will confirm whether this machine passes or recommend a narrower model.
What warranty does the R06 come with?+
Every R06 comes with a 12-month parts warranty, with warranty claims handled for you in the UK by Ashmoors. The engine also carries the engine manufacturer's own warranty, and extended cover can be quoted on request. Full terms are confirmed in writing with your order.
How quickly can the R06 be delivered?+
Machines are held in stock in the UK. Mainland UK delivery is typically 3–5 working days from cleared payment, fully insured, and we confirm a delivery day with you in advance. Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland are arranged on request.
Are spare parts held in the UK?+
Contact Ashmoors with the R06 serial number and required part. We will confirm compatibility, availability and delivery before you order.
Can I finance the R06?+
Finance options may include hire purchase and finance lease through UK-regulated funders. Terms and monthly figures depend on the machine, deposit, term and applicant status.
Do I need a CPCS ticket to operate this machine?+
Operator ticketing requirements depend on the site, insurance and duty. For most domestic and light-commercial work the R06 does not legally require CPCS, but many hire firms and main contractors will still require an appropriate ticket. Speak to your site's health & safety lead.
What attachments fit the R06?+

Pre-delivery inspection
Every R06 is PDI checked in Britain.
Your R06 is not passed straight from the container to your yard. It goes through our 20-point pre-delivery inspection at our UK workshop, and the signed checklist, operator's manual and conformity documents are supplied with the machine. Service kits and filters are held in the UK, so routine servicing never leaves you waiting on a container.
