Choosing a machine
Sizing a skid steer
The rated operating load is only half the story — auxiliary hydraulic flow decides which attachments the machine can actually run.
RS03 · RS04
140 – 175 kg rated
Compact loaders for landscape and garden work. Confirm the required attachment and hydraulic demand before ordering.
RS06 · RS07
300 kg rated
Compact tracked loaders for grounds maintenance, property work and material handling with compatible attachments.
RS10 · RS20
Up to 1,050 kg rated
Larger site-class loaders for material handling and demanding hydraulic attachments, subject to confirmed compatibility.
Universal quick-attach hitch across the range — existing attachments carry across when you upsize.
FAQs
Questions UK buyers ask.
Not seeing yours? Ask our UK team — tell us the job and we will recommend the right machine.
What rated operating load do compact tracked loaders offer?+
The range runs from 140 kg rated on the RS03, through 175 kg on the RS04 and 300 kg on the RS06 and RS07, up to 1,050 kg on the RS20. Rated load is a safe working figure, not tipping load, so size the machine to the heaviest material you lift daily.
Are auxiliary hydraulics standard for augers, trenchers and sweepers?+
Auxiliary hydraulic provision is available across the range, but flow rate decides which attachments actually work properly. Tell us the attachment — auger, trencher, sweeper or breaker — and we confirm the hydraulic demand against the model before you order.
Will a tracked loader work on wet clay or turf without wrecking the ground?+
Rubber tracks spread weight over a much larger area than wheels, so ground pressure is far lower and rutting is reduced on soft clay, turf and made-up ground. Conditions still matter: saturated ground, steep slopes and repeated turning on the spot will always mark a surface.
Which engines are fitted to Ashmoors skid steers?+
Most models use Kubota diesel engines, including the 300 kg rated RS06. The compact RS03 uses a Briggs & Stratton petrol engine. The engine fitted is listed in the specification table on each machine's page.
Do attachments carry across if I upsize later?+
The range uses a universal quick-attach hitch, so buckets, forks and similar tools generally transfer when you move up a size. Hydraulic attachments are the exception — flow and pressure must match the new machine, so check those with us first.
