Tracked or wheeled?
Choose tracked when…
- You're crossing finished turf, gravel or block paving.
- The ground is soft, wet or freshly graded.
- The site has meaningful gradient.
- Ground pressure matters — landscape or forestry work.
Choose wheeled when…
- Long haul distances between spoil heap and skip.
- The ground is firm, level and undressed.
- Road speed and rubber-tyre wear matter more than footprint.
- Payload above the tracked mini class is required.
FAQs
Questions UK buyers ask.
Not seeing yours? Ask our UK team — tell us the job and we will recommend the right machine.
Why choose a tracked dumper over a wheeled one?+
Rubber tracks spread the load, so a tracked dumper travels over soft, wet or sloping ground that stops a wheeled dumper and leaves far less damage behind. On firm hardstanding and long straight runs, a wheeled dumper is faster and cheaper.
What payload and tipping options are available?+
Payload, skip type and tipping arrangement vary by model and are listed in each machine's specification table. Tell us the material, the gradient and the distance you are moving it, and we recommend the smallest dumper that will do the job properly.
Are tracked dumpers suitable for landscaping and forestry work?+
Yes. They are widely used by landscapers, groundworkers and forestry contractors precisely because they cross soft ground, turf and steep tracks without tearing the surface up, and pass through gaps a wheeled machine cannot.
How are tracked dumpers delivered?+
Mini dumpers in this class are delivered on a plant trailer or a beavertail depending on weight, tracked and insured, to a firm offload point on your site. Delivery is quoted alongside the machine.
