The R57 PRO is our first true mid-size excavator — sized for full-time site contractors, drainage crews and plant hire fleets that need reach, breakout force and week-in, week-out reliability. It bridges the gap between compact garden-scale kit and full production plant, at a price and running cost that stack up against the majors.
Cab-class comfort with heating and air-conditioning, ergonomic pilot controls and a hydraulic circuit specified for larger breakers, tilt-rotators, flails and mowers. It is the machine that turns a two-day dig into a one-day job.
Ashmoors specifies, inspects and prepares this machine for the UK market, supplies it and remains responsible for its UK warranty, parts, servicing and technical support. It is manufactured by RIPPA under its original model code.

What engine is fitted to the R57?+
The Ashmoors R57 Excavator is fitted with a Kubota V2607 diesel, as published in the manufacturer's specification. The full specification table on this page lists every confirmed figure for the machine.
What does the R57 weigh, and can it be towed in the UK?+
The R57 is quoted at 5,792 kg. Add the tare weight of your plant trailer, typically 700-800 kg for a braked 3.5-tonne trailer, to get the towed weight, then check that total against your trailer plate, your towing vehicle's limits and your licence entitlement before travelling. Machines above roughly 8 tonnes are delivered by low-loader instead.
How deep does the R57 dig?+
Maximum digging depth for the R57 is 3,890 mm. If your job has a fixed depth requirement — drainage runs, foundations or service trenches — tell us the depth and we will confirm whether this machine reaches it or point you to the next class up.
What warranty does the R57 come with?+
Every R57 comes with a 12-month parts warranty, with warranty claims handled for you in the UK by Ashmoors. The engine also carries the engine manufacturer's own warranty, and extended cover can be quoted on request. Full terms are confirmed in writing with your order.
How quickly can the R57 be delivered?+
Delivery of the R57 is arranged individually by low-loader to your site. Contact Ashmoors with your site location and access details and we will confirm a delivery date and quote before you order.
Are spare parts held in the UK?+

Can I finance the R57?+
Finance options may include hire purchase and finance lease through UK-regulated funders. Terms and monthly figures depend on the machine, deposit, term and applicant status.
Do I need a CPCS ticket to operate this machine?+
Operator ticketing requirements depend on the site, insurance and duty. For most domestic and light-commercial work the R57 does not legally require CPCS, but many hire firms and main contractors will still require an appropriate ticket. Speak to your site's health & safety lead.
What attachments fit the R57?+

Pre-delivery inspection
Every R57 is PDI checked in Britain.
Your R57 is not passed straight from the container to your yard. It goes through our 20-point pre-delivery inspection at our UK workshop, and the signed checklist, operator's manual and conformity documents are supplied with the machine. Service kits and filters are held in the UK, so routine servicing never leaves you waiting on a container.

- All hydraulic hoses, rams and fittings checked for weeps and chafing
- Engine oil level and condition checked
- Hydraulic oil level and cleanliness checked
- Coolant level and antifreeze strength checked
